- As educators, we spend most of our days and evenings doing what we enjoy and love to do. Educating, counseling and helping children of the future. While providing for our children in so many different ways, we all share the same common goal, which is to provide CARE, WELFARE, SAFETY AND SECURITY for our children. In order to accomplish this goal, we must be able to recognize the early warning signs of a persons behavior escalating and must be able to intervene effectively. A Friend of the Family, Inc. has certified instructors and will provide the training needed to provide CARE, WELFARE, SAFTEY AND SECURITY for your company.
- Family intervention and home consultations. We work with local organizations to provide insight into aspects of parenting, issues involved with providing and supporting a proper education, and age-appropriate behavioral and academic performance management, including follow-up and parent/family sessions.
- Educational counseling and consulting for parents, teachers, counselors, administrators, and students. Topics are based on group need. Delivery may consist of group counseling, seminars for information and resource sharing, and Functional Behavioral Assessments.
- Training programs delivered to school districts on topics such as interventions, strategies for the classroom, motivation, morale, and team-building.
- Training programs delivered to businesses on topics such as balancing work and home, family communication, motivation, morale and team-building.
- Evening sessions for the public on topics including behavior intervention and management, non-violent crisis intervention, proactive planning, and classroom and individual enhancement techniques. We also work with various organizations to provide insight and skill-building in the areas of relevant expectations and concerns.
- Regularly scheduled sessions to be held at elementary schools. A designated AFOF counselor will meet with students identified by the elementary school as in need of developing strong self-concepts, mastery of basic skills, realistic plans, and achievement of academic goals through self-discipline and self-respect.
